You get one word processing file containing the same Bible Outline headings shown on this web site.  For example, you get a list that begins with God... and ends with Last Things.

On this web site, the Bible Study Outline is divided across many pages, but in the file you download, all of the outline is in one file.  But, except for being divided into pages on the web site, the file you download will look like what is one the web site -- the list of headings. The navigations bars on the top, left, and bottom of the pages are not part of the downloaded file.

What can you do with the downloaded file?

  • You can make your own notes under the appropriate heading.   You add your own notes to the word processing file you download.  If you add notes under the Lord's prayer, that section of your notes might look something like this example.

What else is the outline good for?

By downloading the entire outline in one file, you can:

  • Add more subcategories for topics that are not already in the outline.
  • Delete large or small portions of the outline so that your outline fits your needs.
  • Print the outline so you can review the topics under the major Bible doctrines. The Bible Study Outline serves as a checklist for things about which you should have some knowledge.
  • My Favorite: Use the printed version to carry with you as the place where you take your notes during class, Sunday school, sermons, seminars, or on the porch while reading the Bible.
  • Even if you do not take notes in your file, if you print the outline, find topics in the outline as you read the Bible. This allows you to think about related ideas as you read.  It can serve to prompt a wider review of what you are studying, again, even if you never add a note to the outline.
  • If you have some word processing skills, you can sort the file in different manners, or write a macro to move the file, field-by-field, into a table for greater sorting capabilities.
