Luke: "John, I just finished reading your Gospel.  Matthew, Mark, and I already have a title for it, if you haven't thought of one yet."

John: "Well, I was kinda thinking about a catchy title showing the benefits of this new book, something like, 'Christ, the Son of the living God -- Whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.'  My publisher thinks it might sell well among the self-help group -- you know -- eternal life as a free gift.  It could be right up there with 'How to avoid wrinkles.' What do you think?"

Luke: "Yes, of course. But don't you see how the synoptic Gospels written by Matthew, Mark, and I are  similar while yours is different?

John: "What's a synoptic?"

Mark: Synoptic means "same sight."  Many say the three of us had a "common view" that caused us to write the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke so that they have many words, phases, and sequences in common.  Our three books are sometimes called the Synoptic Gospels for that reason.

John: "So, what do you think my Gospel should be titled?"

Luke: "We were thinking 'The Gospel of John -- Guess which disciple always left his notebook computer on his donkey.'"

Yup, Yup, Yup... This is "Trigger," the Donkey.

Everything is under God.  That's why God should be the first listed topic in an organized Bible study.
