Why I Recommend PC Bible from Biblesoft.com

What to buy?

Many have found PC Bible the best for them.

"Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?"

For the cost of some software, you might be able to take a vacation!

Saying which Bible study software is the best is like saying how much peanut butter tastes best on cucumbers -- everyone has their own preference.  But, we all know that hearing why people like or even warn people about a particular product helps us make up our own minds about what is best. It is the same way with software.

It is most likely not an "either or" decision about whether to use books or software.

Software
takes you
to a new level.

Although software is inexpensive compared to buying the same materials in book form, it can be a large expenditure at one time.  You must decide for yourself just how much peanut butter you like on your cucumbers.

A Review of Five Leading Bible Study Software Products. David Alan Rech wrote "Bible Study Software What's Right for You?" in Biblical Archaeology Review. He concluded, "All of these programs [five leading programs] the have strengths and weaknesses, so making a final recommendation is difficult. For academics, I would recommend BibleWorks 5, because of its powerful search engine. The Logos Scholar's Library is probably the best package for anyone interested in Biblical archaeology."

Regarding PC Bible from Biblesoft.com, he wrote prior to his conclusion:

"PC Study Bible kept me engaged longer than any of the other programs because it's so straightforward to use.......

"The PC Study Bible package includes the high-quality Moody Atlas and Timeline and lots of photographs. Like Bible Explorer 3, however, this program seems to assume that the Bible is literally true, and that the Old Testament anticipates the coming of Jesus. Non-Christian buyers, be warned.

"I did encounter a few problems with this software: My computer didn't have enough memory to open every resource." (end of quote)

I was literally stopped in my reading when I read his three paragraphs about PC Bible.  At first I did not believe he had laid out his thoughts in that pattern:  First, of the 5 programs, PC Bible kept Rech engaged longest. Second, the PC Bible folks seemed to assume the Bible is literally true and he warns non-Christians.  Third, there was insufficient memory to open every resource.  Yes, indeed.

I also recommend the PC Bible because of the testimonials of its users as shown on the PC Bible web site.

I also recommend the PC Bible because of its Authoring feature. "This new technology allows the user to author his or her own Bible study and reference materials, instantly integrate the work into PC Study Bible, and share electronic documents over the Internet with thousands of other users..."
